there are fundamental differences between a jihad (an islamic holy war) and a political struggle. one seeks to defend people from oppression and land from aggression; the other to gain control over people and dominance of ideology. one seeks to protect the innocent, the elderly, women, and children; the other to use these same people as shields or statements, a means to an end. one is fought for God; the other for power. there is a difference, as well, between a muslim and a moro. may God grant me the grace of wisdom to know the difference. #quote #jihad #ignatian #reflection #examen #ilaw (at the aerie)
