jaime lannister: if your gods are real and if they're just, why is the world so full of injustice?
catelyn stark: because of men like you.
jaime lannister: there are no men like me. only me.
~ in episode 10 of hbo's adaptation of g.r.r. martin's "a game of thrones"
as i've mentioned before, i'm not a fan of book-to-screen adaptations because the purist in me struggles to reconcile what is being shown to what has been written. i have always "liked the book better".
but this mini-series has not only managed to stay true to the text but it has captured the essence of "a game of thrones".
so far.
i am actually looking forward to the continuation in 2012! (",)
i finished the fifth book (the ebook version) two weeks ago and i am also looking forward to the sixth in the series. i hope i won't have to wait another two years!

"love is the death of duty. we're all human. we all do our duty when there's no cost to it; honor comes easy then. yet, sooner or later in every man's life, there comes a day when it is not easy, a day when he must choose."
